About the opportunity:
This is a highly visible role, working with 3 product lines (Truck Cranes, Rough Terrain Cranes & Boom Trucks). Reporting to a Chief Engineer, this Structural Design Project Engineer will need to be capable of taking a lead role in developing new hydraulically telescoping cranes. This person will be responsible for all phases of product development including: Engineering project management, CAD design, analysis, test supervision, working with suppliers, meeting design standards, problem solving, and production support. Desired Qualifications:
- Mobile Heavy Equipment Engineering Experience with a minimum of 10 years experience in the design and manufacture of mobile heavy equipment, or a related industry
- BS Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or AG Engineering (BSAE)
- Relevant Technical Background: Weldment Design (Crane Boom & Jib Design), Steel Fab, Hydraulic Cylinders, Hydraulic Systems, and Plate Buckling
- 3D CAD Experience & Comfort with MS Office Programs
- Experience with Applicable Design Standards & Familiarity with ASME Steel Specifications
