A
retained executive search firm is engaged by a client
company to fill a specific opening, on an exclusive
assignment basis, usually to fill higher level
positions with compensation packages of $90,000 and
above.
Here
is a quote from Bill Sitter,
the Owner of our firm, explaining JSA's unique
partnering relationship with our clients:
"During
an exclusive, retained search assignment, our firm
becomes a temporary extension of our client's
activities. This relationship can be likened to one
between a company and its CPA firm or law firm. The
goal of this partnership clearly becomes the prompt
acquisition of the best qualified manager for our
client company."
At
JSA, the retainer portion of the fee is paid up-front
on a non-refundable basis. A second payment is due in
60 days and the balance of the fee is paid on
completion of the search assignment, which is
signified by offer acceptance.
Typically,
retained search firms have received all of their fees in the
first 90 to 120 days, regardless of the status of
search completion. NOT JSA...JSA
is not fully paid until our client's needs are met!
