SUMMARY

Part of HCMA's new Mining Fleet Solutions, the OT Systems Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of LANDCROS Connect Insight System (Hardware & Software) on HCM mining equipment within our customers' operational technology (OT) networks. This role involves ensuring reliable and efficient capture of machine operational data on board and transmission into the HCM Cloud Environment through various communication networks like Cellular/ LTE/ WiFi/ Mesh and Satellite. Data capture and transfer are critical for the successful roll-out of LANDCROS Connect Insight, HCM's new asset performance management system.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Install, configure, and maintain LCI systems
  • Provide technical support for LCI systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Provide technical training to HCMA Dealer and Customer Personnel on LCI systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure LCI system reliability (when required).
  • Assist in the implementation of security measures to protect LCI System infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to support LCI system upgrades and modifications.
  • Collaborate with customer OT teams, give network/infrastructure recommendations where applicable to ensure reliable data transfer.
  • Maintain accurate records of edge system configurations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in edge computing and IoT systems.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in OT / IoT system implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting within an industrial, construction, or mining environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information, Technology, or related field
  • Proficiency in IoT platforms, sensor technologies, network design, and data analytics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for OT / IoT systems.
  • Knowledge of mining practices and procedure. Ideally, MSHA certified but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, position may require working in various environments, including mine sites and industrial settings.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Proactive problem solver, with strong analytical ability and the capability to map analysis to business priorities
  • Ability to use reporting tools such as Tableau, Grafana, Microsoft Power BI or others.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office tools (Excel reporting, PowerPoint presentations and Word).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent listener and consultative communicator.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Successful Installation of & Commissioning of the LCI System on HCM equipment
  • Assessment completion of LCI pre-deployment feasibility at Customer Sites.
  • Ticket response for technical questions from HCMA Dealers and Customers on the LCI System
