Logistics Coordinator
Provide guidance and logistical support for all small package, LTL, and FTL shipments to North and South America customers.
- Oversee/prepare domestic and international shipment documentation
- Ensure company packaging/labeling quality standards are met
- File claims with carriers for over, short, and damage as required
- Daily on-site logistics coordination with 3PL (transportation and warehouse) at a remote warehouse in Salt Lake City, UT
- Provide guidance and logistical support for all small package, LTL, and FTL shipments to North and South America customers.
- Act as liaison between 3PL and parts operation at the Corporate Headquarters in Newnan, GA.
- Daily contact with dealer organization to advise of freight issues or routing changes.
- Assist with and manage dealer internal and external credit processing.
- Oversee/prepare domestic and international shipment documentation in accordance with Corporate requirements including shipments to forwarders and direct to customers.
- Ensure freight charges are correctly added to the customer invoice.
- Ensure carrier selection is in accordance with company guidelines and allows for timely delivery at the best price.
- File claims with carriers for over, short, and damage as required.
- Coordinate Hot Shot deliveries as requested by dealers.
- Ensure company packaging/labeling quality standards are met.
- Review daily operational metrics and ensure they meet company requirements.
- Assist with the OS&D for all inbound shipments and act as liaison to the HCMA procurement department.
- Assist with any necessary inventory activities within iDMS as needed.
KEY SKILLS / CHARACTERISTICS
- International shipping experience with focus on Central and South America
- Previous experience with ERP based shipping manifest systems
