After graduating from Baylor University with a BBA in Business and Marketing, Kevin began his recruiting career in 1995, with one of the largest privately-owned technical recruiting firms globally. It was there that he learned the fundamentals of networking, recruiting, sales, and the value of relationship building. SUMMARY

The Account Manager is to identify new opportunities, develop relationships with existing customers, and partner with contractors for their heavy earthmoving and pipeline equipment needs.

Our client is a leading heavy earthmoving (civil) & pipeline equipment supplier. They rent, sells, and lease equipment solutions to qualified contractors. Our client has been in the equipment industry for well over 75 years. They specialize in rental of larger Caterpillar/John Deere equipment to established contractors. Their diverse customer base includes, transportation; oil & gas; environmental, municipalities; renewable energy; mining; and civil contractors.

DUTIES
  • Daily account management and revenue growth through job site and office visits
  • Travel as required to stay in contact with all customers in area of responsibility
  • Assist the Service Department with communication to your customers
  • Assist Credit Department on accounts receivable matters
  • Attend networking events and trade shows as required
  • Identify and prospect new customers within assigned geographic territory, including construction companies, contractors, municipalities, and industrial facilities
  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships through regular visits, follow-ups, and proactive communication
  • Develop thorough knowledge of territory demographics, seasonal trends, and major projects or developments that could drive rental demand
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual rental revenue targets and KPIs

REQUIREMENTS
  • Valid driver's license
  • 3+ years of experience within the construction equipment industry or related area
  • PC literate, proficient with MS Office
  • CRM knowledge
