This privacy policy explains how Jordan Sitter Associates, a Reputable Recruiting company ("Jordan Sitter Associates", "we", "us" or "our"), collects, uses, shares and protects personal information through our website jordansitter.
Our website, its job board and its forms are built, hosted and run for us by our website and recruitment platform provider, Refari. For some features, such as job alerts and recognizing returning visitors, Refari also acts on its own account, under its own privacy policy at privacy.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use our website and deal with us, we may collect:
- contact details you give us in a form, such as your name, email address, phone number, company and job title, and anything you write in a message;
- your details when you download one of our e-books or case studies (your name and email address);
- if you apply for a job or register with us through the job board, which Refari runs for us: your résumé, work history, qualifications, the kind of work you are looking for, your answers to any screening questions and any documents you attach;
- if you refer someone to us: the details you give us about them, which you should only share with their knowledge;
- during the recruiting process: interview notes and, with your permission, references and the results of any checks a role requires;
- if you are a client or a contact at an employer: your role, your company and the positions you are hiring for;
- information collected automatically when you use our website, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and when (see "Cookies, device identifiers and analytics").
We do not need sensitive information, such as health information or details of a criminal record, through our website, so please leave it out of your résumé. If a role requires a background check, we will ask for your permission first.
How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your inquiry and provide the recruiting services you ask for;
- send you the e-book or case study you requested;
- consider you for suitable roles, contact you about opportunities and, with your agreement, introduce you to employers;
- understand the hiring needs of employers who ask us to find people for them;
- send you job alerts and other information you have asked for;
- run, protect and improve our website and services;
- meet our legal obligations.
Refari's platform uses artificial intelligence services to read the résumés you send so your details can be added to our candidate database; those services do not use your information to train their models. A person makes every decision about whether to put you forward for a role.
How we share your information
We may share personal information with:
- employers and clients, as part of the recruiting process, and references you have named;
- our service providers, who handle it for us under contract, including Refari (our website and recruitment platform provider, which runs our forms, job board and candidate database), the email service that delivers website inquiries to us, and the artificial intelligence services that read résumés;
- our professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers;
- law enforcement, regulators and others when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Our service providers may store and process information in the United States and in other countries, including Australia, where Refari is based.
Cookies, device identifiers and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make it work and to remember your choices. When you first visit, a consent bar lets you choose which kinds of cookies to allow; you can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. Some forms provided by Refari use Google reCAPTCHA to keep out automated abuse; Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to it.
Some pages include Google Maps, YouTube and Vimeo, which load only when you choose to use them and may then set their own cookies.
You can also set your browser to refuse or delete cookies; some features may then not work. Refusing cookies does not stop a device identifier from being used.
How long we keep it
